Music Lessons



Kids Community offers private and group music lessons after school during the school year.

We are currently offering private guitar, voice, piano, drum, electric bass guitar, and ukulele lessons.

Cole Robinson – Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Piano

ColeFor a over decade, Cole Robinson has been dedicated to music education, community development, and youth mentorship.  As an educator Cole has taught, designed, and supervised unique and highly acclaimed curriculum in music education, outdoor leadership, and youth empowerment.

Cole holds Bachelors of Arts Degrees in International Studies and Music and has studied with Darrell Grant, Damien Erskine, and Alan Jones.  Cole has had the pleasure of working with such great youth and environmentally focused organizations as Culture Jam!, Portland Parks & Recreation, the PSU & U of O Outdoor Programs, All Souls Community Center in New Orleans, and The International School in Switzerland.  Cole has performed with such groups as The Essentials, Keegan Smith and the Fam, and Grammy award winner Lady Rizo.

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Cole is also an obsessed surfer and snowboarder.

Ena Abel – Piano & Voice

Music has been a very important  part of Ena’s life.  She started singing and playing piano at age 11.  She studied voice performance and music at Clark College, Portland State and Marylhurst University for 7 years.  She has been teaching piano for 9 years.  Her business, Peace Through Music, focuses on love and exploration of music and teaches students that music is a language and that we must be fluent, which means we practice theory, eye training and ear training.  Ena has a passion for history and music from the 1930s and 40s.  She rehearses in a duo with a very talented pianist who are working on a great repertoire of songs to share.



Corey Kintzi – Drums & Piano

photo (6)A southern California native, Corey is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with a passion for sharing his craft with others.  Since moving to Portland in 2008, he has collaborated with a long and varied list of jazz, rock, classical and folk musicians, and performed regularly in theater and film productions with groups like Filmusik and Opera Theater Oregon.  While completing a Jazz Performance degree at Portland State University, Corey’s musical interests broadened to include songwriting, mallet percussion, and all forms of improvised music.

As a teacher, Corey strives to make the process of learning music fun and accessible for students of any age.   His process oriented approach enables students to explore and pursue their own passions and interests, while offering them the tools to develop and meet their personal goals.


Grace Gabumpa – Voice

Grace has been playing music professionally since she was 18. Classically trained in voice, though she tends to focus on a contemporary sound, and able to play guitar, and piano, she has been writing music since she could plunk on the piano. In her early twenties, she was a three time finalist and two time runner-up for an international online singing/songwriting competition. She has recorded multiple albums. She now lives in Portland. When she is not playing music, she is teaching music, english, pre-school, or traveling the world.
